Phagun
The new owners of Deepak Mahal meet with its caretaker, Mattu, who narrates the story of its' former owners: Bijondra - the only child of a wealthy Hindu Brahmin Zamindar; and Banani - the only child of a single father, Banjara Sardar Tinkari. Starting with the move to evict the Banjaras from his father's property, flute-playing Bijondra meets with and falls in love with pretty dancer, Banani - leading to being asked to leave by his enraged father; while Banani's father plans her marriage to Banjara Madhal.
Dilli Ka Thug

Hum Panchhi Ek Dal Ke
Rajendra Mehra is the only child of Rai Bahadur Kailalshnath, and studies in a school along with Nandu, Mehmood, Chatpat, Guru, and others. He decides to go on an outing with them, incurring the anger of his dad, who at first sends his servant, Dhamu, to bring him back. When Dhamu fails, he sends Mirza Usman, and when Mirza too fails to bring Rajendra home, Kailashnath himself sets out himself, but when he reaches them, he finds that the children have already left for home. Angered at his son for mixing with poor students, he decides to remove him from the school and have him taught at home - and the person he has recruited is none other than Shaktimaan Singh - a Circus Ringmaster. The question remains will Shaktimaan be able to appropriately discipline Rajendra?
Pardesi
This first co-production of the Soviet and Indian cinematographers is dedicated to the Tver merchant Afanasy Nikitin who in 1466-1472 blazed the trade way from Europe to India. The film is based on Nikitin’s travel notes. Starring in the film are popular Russian actor Oleg Strizhenov and India’s 1950s movie star Nargis.
Tumsa Nahin Dekha
Twenty years ago, Sardar Rajpal killed his brother and fled his hometown with his adopted daughter. Once settled, he asked his estranged wife to send their son on the misleading promise of employment. When two young men with the same name show up, both claiming to be there for the job, a baffled Sardar is forced to work out the imposter and his motive, while his daughter gradually develops a soft spot for one of them.

Baarish
City-bred Ramu is involved in petty crime. When his close friend Gopal asks him to go to the village and look after his mother and sister Chanda, Ramu does so. After coming to know both mother and daughter, they decide to re-locate to the big city to be together with Gopal. In the process, Ramu and Chanda fall in love with each other. Chanda wants Ramu to give up his life of crime, but will his crime partners allow Ramu to lead a normal life?

After Shekhar (Raj Kapoor) falls for beautiful Sharada (Meena Kumari), he makes her promise that she'll wait for him while he goes abroad on a business trip.
